On this project, Nimble developed a global website to show world-wide YTD orders/sales data, recent orders of special significance, sales/order data for individual sales personnel, historical sales/order real-time charts, and YTD expense report data. Previously, salepersons had to wait for spreadsheet reports to be emailed sporadically by sales managment. On each callup of the site, aggregate sales/order data is recalculated on the server using the latest orders/invoices so that accounting adjustments are immediately reflected in the summary data.
Here are some highlights:
- Utilizes custom web classes within the Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) server-side execution environment
- Retrieves data through Microsoft ADO connections and recordsets
- Collects financial information from SAP R/3 accounting system, Concur XMS expense report system, and Epicor Clientele customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Developed in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
