On this project, Nimble wrote numerous utilities and web services to extract invoice, order, and cash flow data from the SAP R/3 accounting and contact relationship management (CRM) systems to populate modern databases, thus making the SAP information more accessible to a plethora of analysis tools at low cost per user.

Here are some highlights of these extraction utilities and web services:

• Extracted SAP invoice and order data from R/3 using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and the SAP DCOM Connector product
• Extracted SAP invoice, order, cash flow, and CRM information from R/3 using Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and the SAP .NET Connector product
• Developed detail knowledge of inner SAP tables and relationships, including the hard-to-master SAP table and column names (derived from German)
• Utilized batch mode of operation, with execution each morning after midnight, for high volume data
• Utilized real-time mode of operation, with execution on demand, for real-time, financial websites
• Consulted with SAP system manager on design of Business Application Program Interfaces (BAPIs) required for data extraction from SAP system
